We are recognised as the cocktail specialists of the Sunshine Coast. Every event is unique, so the beverages should be too. Grant and the team tailor every event to our guests’ needs. We have a list of signature cocktail which are assured to get your mouth watering, as well as the choice of classic cocktails or custom designed cocktails.
The Bartenders team spread their cocktail love by offering interactive cocktail masterclasses to small intimate groups. This gives all guests the opportunity to mix and sample a few of their own cocktails whilst being directed by the professionals. Our masterclasses are a unique experience which will always be remembered, taking home a practical skillset that will make you the life of your next party.
Grant Hawthorne - Director
Grant Hawthorne is the founder and key operator for The Bartenders. Grant is a true Sunshine Coast local, and has had the pleasure of calling Noosa, home. Grant studied and recieved his Bachelor of Business from the University of the Sunshine Coast, majoring in Tourism, Leisure & Event Management.
He gained bartending knowledge from a variety of different bar environments, though his passion for cocktails and professional service was refined while being the Bar Manager of Sofitel Noosa, which included the opening of the Riviera Lounge, developing a range of signature cocktails and implementing exciting brand strategies.
After establishing a professional reputation, Grant decided to pursue his passion for creating memorable experiences by establishing his own mix of great service, handcrafted drinks and personal touch. Thus, The Bartenders was created.
Errico is known within the team as the cocktail master. He brings an unparellel level of enthusiasm and passion not only into The Bartenders, but into the whole cocktail industry.
Errico is Chinese descent, though is third generation Italian. He was born & lived in Milan through his youth, until he made the move to Australia in 2019 after already travelling abroad. He brought with him years of hospitality experience, from working in his parents restaurant to eventually owning his own cafe.
Upon arriving in Australia, Errico was able to further his knowledge by working in reputable bars around the Sunshine Coast, such as Ricky's River Bar & Restaurant, Locale Noosa & Miss Moneypenny's. Errico found an early opportunity to join the team at The Bartenders, where he was given the opportunity to express his creativety and oversee the day to day operations.
Events & Marketing Manager
Erin is the string that keeps The Bartenders together. She is a passionate events professional who's career began at Sofitel Noosa in conferencing & events front of house team, and further progressed to an event management role.
Erin spent her childhood in Port Kembla, Wollongong before her family decided to make the move up to Queensland. Her family felt that the Sunshine Coast was the perfect location for her to finish her education. Erin & Grant crossed paths early in 2016, where a romantic spark was lit, which has led to their wonderful future. Erin has provided professional advice from the launch of The Bartenders, and continues to see the brand flourish.
The Bartenders crossed paths with Ryan when he and his partner, Rashi, began their own business, The Ohana Group, in 2019. The Ohana Group are a start-to-finish events company, with focus on Ryan's food.
Ryan took his apprenticeship at Sails Restaurant Noosa, and then went on to work at the then Noosa institution, Berardos. Ryan then continued his career down in Melbourne, working at The Press Club, which attained two Chef Hats and numerous awards. Ryan's passion then lead him to becoming a private chef for high-end clients, celebrities, sports stars and businesspeople across the French Alps and the Mediterranean.
Ryan returned to Noosa as Head Chef at Berardos On the Beach, focusing on clean and contemporary bistro dishes. He then went on to Ricky’s River Bar & Restaurant as Sous Chef. It was here Ryan’s appreciation for premium produce and finer ingredients peaked. A call to the seas saw Ryan take a Head Chef position on board Encore, a 48m Sail Yacht. Ryan sailed through Fiji, Hawaii and other Pacific Nations crafting new dishes using the freshest seafood, and locally sourced meats and produce with the help of villagers.
Our styling team is headed by Rashi Devendra who has more than 10 years of experience in the weddings and event styling.
Rashi grew up helping her parents to setup functions which is why Rashi is very hands on with Styling, designing and floristry. Her creative flair, attention to detail, efficiency and industry experience have seen her in the role of director, senior stylist and florist of Dreamz Wedding Planner for a decade. Her specialty is destination and cultural weddings, having been involved in weddings held on Denarau island, Fiji, and her experience has resulted in her being the preferred supplier for resorts such as Sheraton, Westin, Hilton, Sofitel and The Yacht Club.
